This single dwelling residence is conceived as a layered composition of form, light, and material—balancing privacy at the street with openness and generosity within. The architecture is defined by a restrained palette and a clear hierarchy of solid and void, allowing the building to present a calm, composed presence while revealing depth through proportion and detail. 

At the street, a sculptural aluminium screen forms a protective outer layer, softening the mass of the upper level while filtering light and views. Curved edges and arched openings introduce rhythm and tactility, lending the façade a sense of crafted precision rather than overt expression. Integrated planting is used as an architectural element, mediating between built form and landscape while reinforcing privacy and permanence.

To the rear, the architecture opens outward, dissolving boundaries between interior and garden. Large glazing frame views to landscape and pool, creating a continuous relationship between living spaces and outdoor areas. The contrast between enclosure and openness is deliberate while privacy is maintained where required, entertainment areas are allowed to breathe, connect, and expand.

Internally, the language of the exterior is carried through with restraint and clarity. Arched openings, natural stone, and finely detailed joinery create a cohesive spatial sequence grounded in proportion and material honesty. Light is carefully modulated throughout the day, animating surfaces and reinforcing the sense of calm. Circulation and living spaces flow intuitively, supporting both everyday living and quiet moments of retreat.

The project reflects Norzer Design Studio’s approach to bespoke residential architecture—homes shaped by clarity, material restraint, and careful detailing. Rather than pursuing excess, the design prioritises longevity, comfort, and architectural coherence, resulting in a residence that is both quietly expressive and enduring in quality.
